Ford Fiesta Engine Performance
The cool nature of the Fiesta starts off under the hood. The sporty compact offers three engine options that perfectly blend power and fuel economy, creating a car that’s fun to drive with without requiring frequent trips to the pump. Base Fiesta models come equipped with a 120-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that earns 27 city/37 highway miles per gallon.
Opting for the available three-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost will increase the horsepower to 123. This unique engine turns in fuel economy estimates of 31 city/43 highway mpg. The final engine offered is exclusive to the performance-oriented Fiesta ST trim. This turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder maxes out the Fiesta’s horsepower at 197. Fuel economy numbers still check in at an impressive 26 city/35 highway miles per gallon.
2016 Fiesta Interior Features
The interior of the 2016 Ford Fiesta does not betray the car’s affordable price tag. Base Fiesta models come equipped with standard features like Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary connectivity, Sync voice controls and a six speaker sound system. Higher trims include the options for several added features, including a premium Sony audio system, upgraded Sync system, heated leather seats and keyless entry and ignition.
Car shoppers considering owning a Fiesta will have the option to choose between either sedan or hatchback body styles for even more variety. Choosing the hatchback body style increases to the storage capacity of the Fiesta from 12.8 cubic feet to 26 cubic feet. The Fiesta ST is only available as a hatchback.
