When it comes to 2017 Ford F-150 engines, choice is the name of the game. That’s because there are five engines to choose from when picking out your 2017 F-150. The standard engine is a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of providing 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. Next is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine capable of giving you 325 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque. There’s also a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which can give you 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The new F-150 also has a V8 option, which is a 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out 385 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque. Last but certainly not least is the all-new third-generation high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine capable of an unheard of 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is only available with this last engine, but what a doozy it is.
Both the 2017 Ford F-150 and 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor offer incredibly impressive towing and hauling capabilities, though the new Ford F-150 does come out ahead. That’s because the 2017 Ford F-150 can tow up to 12,000 pounds and haul up to 3,270 pounds, while the 2017 F-150 Raptor can tow up to 6,000 pounds and haul up to 1,000 pounds.
