The 2017 Ford Flex offers an extensive list of advanced new safety features and driver assistance systems, including intelligent all-wheel drive, a rear view camera complete with backup assist grid lines, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, active park assist, intelligent access with push-button start, the blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, the MyKey system to support safe teen driving and adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning and brake support.

The new Ford Flex also features wide array of advanced new technology features, such as a multipanel vista roof, ambient interior lighting, an available PowerFold third-row seat, climate control, heated and power-folding mirrors, power-adjustable pedals with memory, the SYNC 3 infotainment system, navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, an audio system from Sony 48 with 12 speakers, HID headlamps and a power liftgate.
