The 2017 Ford Fusion has arrived, and is already building a great reputation. The new Fusion just picked up a significant award. The 2017 Ford Fusion Safety rating and features has helped the car earn the designation of Top Safety Plus from the IIHS. This is the highest possible designation offered by the organization.
In order to earn the Top Safety Pick Plus designation, the 2017 Ford Fusion scored well in several categories. The car earned the highest possible rating of “Good” in the moderate-overlap frontal-offset, roof strength, and side-impact crash tests. The Fusion also earned an “Good” rating in the difficult small-overlap frontal-offset test. The car’s head restraints and seatbelts earned “Good” ratings for whiplash protection.
