Ford blew a lot of minds when it unveiled the new 2018 Explorer. Not only does Ford’s newest Explorer feature the choice between three powerful and efficient engines, newly-designed front and rear styling details and four new exterior color options, it also comes with a comprehensive suite of advanced new safety, technology, comfort and convenience features that make it the safest and most technologically-advanced Explorer ever. 2018 Ford Explorer Advanced New Safety Features

Many of the 2018 Ford Explorer’s best and most advanced new safety and driver assistance features come with the available Safe and Smart Package. These features include adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, the blind spot information system, cross-traffic alert, the lane-keeping system, automatic high beam control and rain-sensing wipers. Other impressive safety features found on the new Ford Explorer include the enhanced active park assist system; park-out assist, which helps you pull out of parallel parking spots; and intelligent all-wheel drive with the Terrain Management System, which sends power where it’s needed for improved handling.

2018 Ford Explorer Advanced New Technology Features

The 2017 Ford Explorer included multiple advanced new technology features, but the 2018 Explorer is even more advanced. At the top of the list of new technology features is the available 4G embedded modem that includes a Wi-Fi hotspot that can support as many as 10 devices at a time up to 50 feet away from the vehicle. Other exciting new technology features include SYNC Connect with FordPass, which allows you to remotely start, lock, unlock and locate your new Explorer from almost anywhere. The system also lets you access important vehicle diagnostic information wherever you are.
