The 2018 Ford F-150 lineup features the choice between five powerful and efficient engines, plus an all-new diesel engine that’s coming when the 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel model is released this coming spring. Power ratings aren’t out yet for the diesel engine, so let’s check out the other five available engines instead. First up is the 3.3-liter PFDI V6 engine, which offers 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Next is the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which offers 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Then there’s the 5.0-liter PFDI V8 engine, which offers 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Last but not least is the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and the 3.5-liter high-output EcoBoost engine. The former offers 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while the latter is capable of pumping out an astonishing 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. As you can see, all of these engines are incredibly impressive, but the best part is that all can be paired with the segment-first 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
