2018 Ford Fusion Powertrain Options and Features

The 2018 Ford Fusion has arrived here at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL, and it’s safe to say it’s better than ever. That’s because the new Ford Fusion lineup has been fully updated, upgraded, enhanced and improved for the 2018 model year, with new engine choices, a luxurious new interior, a sleek and sporty new exterior and an extensive list of advanced new safety, technology, comfort and convenience features. But it’s the engines we’ll be focusing on here as we check out all the new powertrain options and features of the 2018 Ford Fusion.

The new Ford Fusion lineup gives you the choice between four powerful and efficient engines. This list includes a 2.5-liter iVCT I-4 engine offering 175 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 21 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine offering 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 24 miles per gallon in the city and 36 miles per gallon on the highway, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine offering 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 21 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway, and a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine offering 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 17 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. You can also choose between three transmissions, including a six-speed automatic transmission, a six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and a six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and Auto Start-Stop. You also get to choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
