One is the fact that the new Ford Mustang GT is powered by a redesigned 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with an all-new available 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. This pairing can pump out up to 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Another key factor is the updated and improved Drag Strip Mode, which helps in four key ways – improving the horsepower and torque outputs, maximizing acceleration, optimizing shifting and optimizing traction.
