Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the engine options of the 2019 Ford Focus lineup. What we do know for sure, however, is that Ford engines have never backpedaled in terms of power and gas mileage from one model year to the next. That means the 2019 Focus lineup’s engine options will be at least as powerful and fuel efficient as those offered by the 2018 Ford Focus lineup, which themselves were incredibly capable and efficient. We also know the global 2019 Focus lineup is getting an EcoBlue diesel engine option, which means it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the American 2019 Focus lineup follows suit. Furthermore, we know 2019 Focus lineup is getting an all-new Electric Power Assisted Steering system, newly standard Drive Mode Technology, and an available eight-speed automatic transmission that itself now features quick-shifting, Adaptive Shift Scheduling and Adaptive Shift Quality Control capabilities.
