At this point, Ford might as well change their slogan from “Built Ford Tough” to “Built Best-In-Class” thanks to the Ford truck and chassis cab lineups continuing their longstanding tradition of offering best-in-class power and best-in-class capability. This time around, we’re focusing on the best-in-class capability of the 2020 Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab, which it’s able to offer thanks to an all-new engine. So, let’s pop the hood and check things out.

As we pointed out in our introduction, the 2020 Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab features best-in-class power and best-in-class capability thanks to its all-new engine. More specifically, the 2020 Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab is powered by an all-new big block 7.3-liter V8 engine featuring 350 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. A 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engine is also available, featuring 330 horsepower and 825 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to these engines, the 2020 Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab is able to tow up to 40,000 pounds and haul up to 12,750 pounds – both of which are best-in-class.
“From the 6.2 V8 to the 7.3L V8 to the heavy duty 10-speed, these powertrains are always in the sweet spot of the power band for maximum efficiency and capability in towing and hauling.”
Greg Stout, Heavy Duty Drivetrain Manager
