The American Legion at U.S.S. Tampa Post 5 has hosted a Memorial Day service each year for more than 100 years and is proud to honor our veterans. The service will start on Sunday, May 28 at 8 p.m. with lit luminaries placed at the cemetery that promise a quiet and majestic atmosphere for reflection. A commemorative Memorial Day service with speakers, music and ceremonies will be held at the cemetery on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m. Members of the community are invited to attend and honor our veterans with their presence and patriotism. Families can purchase a remembrance wreath for the Post Everlasting portion of the service.

Art is an incredible way for individuals to come together with shared interests and the Veteran Civilian Arts Ensemble Showcase at the Straz Center provides an opportunity for civilians to engage with military veterans and learn about their experiences via art. This event may be the perfect way to enjoy your Memorial Day this year.

Hop in the 2024 Ford Ranger this summer and join in the celebration at the Memorial FEST Stars, Stripes and Music event this year in Tampa, FL. The event will include live patriotic music by local favorites, food, refreshments and more. The event is hosted by Bay Area Legal Services and proceeds will be used to provide FREE legal services for veterans in the area. Festivities will continue after the festival with after-party events at Marlow’s Tavern and the Tampa Tap Room.
