Memorial Day is a day to commemorate and memorialize the men and women of our armed forces who have given the last full measure for our country - and while we all love to spend the long weekend with friends and family - it is important to take a moment to remember the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. No matter what you love most about Memorial Day - the patriotic parades, memorial ceremonies, or time spent with family and friends, you will find plenty of Memorial Day events, parades, and activities to enjoy in the Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg area this year.
Clearwater Honor Fest
WHEN: Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Downtown Clearwater and Coachman Park
Families in the Clearwater area who love live music and Memorial Day parades will love the Clearwater Honor Fest. The patriotic event and ceremony kicks off with a parade in Downtown Clearwater with a Memorial Day Ceremony to follow with guest of honor and Medal of Honor Recipient Staff Sergeant David Bellavia. A FREE music festival with live music by popular bands will follow at Coachman Park.

Uptown Music and Arts Festival
WHEN: Saturday, May 25 - Sunday, May 26
WHERE: Curtis Hixon Riverfront Park in Tampa FL
The Uptown Music and Arts Festival is a Memorial Day Weekend tradition for many Tampa-area families and a great place to spend time together. Held at the Curtis Hixon Riverfront Park, the festival features two days of live contemporary jazz music and much more. Local artists and vendors will be on hand selling their products and visual artists will have displays throughout the park for you and your family to enjoy.
90th Annual Memorial Day Service at U.S.S. Tampa
WHEN: Sunday, May 26 at 8 p.m. - Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m.
WHERE: U.S.S. Tampa - 3810 W. Kennedy Blvd. Tampa, FL 33609
The 90th Annual Memorial Day Service presented by American Legion Post 5 - U.S.S. Tampa is an important Memorial Day tradition for many. The Memorial Day commemoration will start Sunday, May 26 at 8 p.m. with candlelight luminaries left out for visitors at the cemetery. The Memorial Day Service will be held on Sunday, May 27 with Major General Edward Dorman III as the keynote speaker, the Jefferson High School R.O.T.C. Color Guard, vocal tributes to the fallen, and much more.
Memorial Day Community Cookout
WHEN: Sunday, May 26 at 1 p.m.
WHERE: The Foodie Labs - 515 22nd St. South St. Petersburg, FL 33712
Get together with friends, family, and community this Memorial Day at the Memorial Day Community Cookout hosted by The Foodie Labs. This community event will include delicious food provided by Liberty BBQ and available samples of Horse Soldier Bourbon and 3 Daughters craft beer. Activities will include corn hole, yard games, chalk drawing, Beachtown Yoga, face painting and much more. Proceeds from this event will benefit Vets2Success and Vet2Chef.
