What Is the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD?
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is unlike any Ford Mustang to come before it and is inspired by the Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car set to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. When asked about the Ford Mustang GTD at its debut, Ford President and CEO Jim Farley stated:
Power and performance are hallmarks of the Ford Mustang nameplate and the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD takes both to the next level. Power is provided to the Mustang GTD by a Supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine that is expected to produce a Herculean 800 horsepower. The Mustang GTD power core is married to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that is factory tuned for the racetrack. Ford expects the Ford Mustang GTD to complete the vaunted Nürburgring in less than seven minutes and will welcome all challengers.
Track-inspired technology is a highlight of the 2025 Ford Mustang and it starts with a semi-active suspension system that provides dual ride heights and is built to increase lateral stiffness and kinematics when cornering at high speeds. The Ford Mustang GTD possesses near-perfect 50/50 weight balance with a wide stance, a lightweight carbon fiber body, magnesium wheels with 325-millimeter front and 345-millimeter rear tires, a dynamic active rear wing to provide additional downforce and much more.
How To Order a 2025 Ford Mustang GTD
The track-tuned 2025 Ford Mustang GTD will be a limited–production model and will be available in Late 2024/Early 2025 by an application process. Ford Mustang GTD models will begin assembly at Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant and will be completed at Multimatic facilities in Canada. The limited-run Ford Mustang supercar will carry a price tag that is estimated to be about $300,000.
