2017 Ford F-150 Engine Lineup

The 2017 Ford F-150’s lineup of engines will include five options. This includes an all-new engine option that has been introduced for the 2017 model year.

 

Starting off the engine line-up is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The base V-6 engine gives drivers access to 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of toque. The estimated fuel economy on the engine is rated at 18 city/24 highway miles per gallon.

 

The second power source offered is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine. This engine offers 325 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque while earning the best fuel economy estimates available on the F-150 at 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highways.

 

Next up is Ford’s first-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. This engine pushes the truck’s horsepower rating up to 375 and the torque up to 470 pound-feet. Fuel economy drops slightly with the larger engine, checking in 18 city/25 highway miles per gallon.

 

Fourth on the list is a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. The larger engine produces 385 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque while earning 15 city/22 highway miles per gallon.

New F-150 EcoBoost Engine

The final entry into the 2017 F-150 engine lineup is the one drawing all the attention. Ford will be offering the all-new third-generation high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine. This engine produces the best performance numbers available on the truck at 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. These are best-in-class numbers for a gasoline six-cylinder engine.
