New Ford F-150 Hybrid Release Date and Powertrain

Published on Mar 3, 2023 by Product Expert

Hybrid vehicles used to be known simply as small cars that got great gas mileage but didn’t have much in terms of horsepower and torque. But that’s all changing. And it’s changing rapidly. Hybrid powertrains have become much more advanced than they were in the early days, and more and more people are becoming fans of what they can do. And because of that, automakers like Ford are beginning to expand their hybrid offerings. And that includes hybrid versions of models you may not expect. Surprising to some, but perhaps not to others, Ford has announced it is working on a hybrid version of the F-150. We’ve still got a while to wait until that becomes a reality, but let’s find out all we can about the new Ford F-150 Hybrid.

How Powerful Is a Ford F-150 Hybrid Powertrain?

Reading this, you may be wondering why Ford would put a hybrid powertrain in a truck. It’s simple, really. Not only do hybrid powertrains save a ton on gas, but they can now also provide a huge amount of torque, even at the low end. A hybrid powertrain is ideal for towing, which is something the Ford F-150 is known for. In fact, Ford has promised the new F-150 Hybrid will offer the best towing and payload capacity while also operating as a mobile generator by generating power and electricity for you and your job site.

New Ford F-150 Hybrid Release Date
