What is the 2020 Ford Explorer Lineup’s New Mindful Mode?

Published on Mar 3, 2023 by Product Expert

How much time per day do you spend looking at screens? Given the number of screens in our life these days, we’re guessing it’s probably a lot – a guess that’s backed up by a recent Nielsen study that says we spend at least half of our days staring at a screen in this country. And, if you really think about it, screens are everywhere nowadays – even in our cars. That’s why Ford is giving people the opportunity to take a screen time break when driving the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer lineup thanks to its all-new Mindful Mode. But what is the 2020 Ford Explorer lineup’s new Mindful Mode? We’re glad you asked, because we’re going to cover that right here.

Quiet Your Mind with the All-New Mindful Mode in the 2020 Ford Explorer Lineup at Brandon Ford in Tampa FL

Driver information displays and touchscreen infotainment systems have become beloved standard features in pretty much every new model throughout the automotive industry, but while they do make our lives easier when out on the road, they also increase our screen time on any given day. That’s why the new Ford Explorer lineup at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL, features an all-new Mindful Mode. Featured in all 2020 Ford Explorer models with the newly available 12.3-inch digital cluster, Mindful Mode – also known as the Calm Screen display – strips away all of the data on the cluster screen so that it only shows your fuel levels and speedometer, making things much less hectic.

“We live in a world of ubiquitous screens, and the information can be overwhelming. New ‘Mindful Mode’ in the all-new Explorer offers a break from the constant stream of information and alerts bombarding us by giving drivers the option to disengage and take a moment for themselves away from the chaos technology can wreak,” – Lee Newcombe, Ford Explorer Brand Marketing Manager.
