If you check out our online inventory here on our Brandon Ford website, you’ll see we routinely carry well over 300 new Ford Focus models at any given time. There are many reasons why we offer so many new Ford Focus models at a time. For starters, the 2018 Focus lineup is one of the most popular automotive lineups ever created, and we want to make sure we have enough to meet customer demand. Another big reason why we carry so many new Focus models is because the 2018 Focus lineup is one of the most diverse automotive lineups throughout the entire industry.
That’s because the 2018 Focus lineup features sedan models, hatchback models, Ford Performance models, fuel-sipping high gas mileage models, powerful and fun to drive models, and everything in between. That means the new Ford Focus lineup at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL, has something for anyone looking for a new sedan or hatchback. To show you what we mean, let’s check out how the new Focus stacks up against its competition in this 2018 Ford Focus versus 2018 Volkswagen Jetta comparison.
2018 Ford Focus | VS | 2018 Volkswagen Jetta |
Both | Sedan or Hatchback? | Only Sedan |
350 HP & 350 lb-ft. | Top Available Power Ratings | 210 HP & 207 lb-ft. |
30 City MPG/42 Highway MPG | Top Available Fuel Efficiency Ratings | 28 City MPG/40 Highway MPG |
23.3 Cubic-Feet | Max Cargo Space | 15.7 Cubic-Feet |
As we mentioned in our introduction, the 2018 Ford Focus lineup features both sedan and hatchback body styles. The 2018 Volkswagen Jetta lineup, on the other hand, features only a sedan body style.
We also mentioned the new Ford Focus lineup features two Ford Performance models – the 2018 Focus ST and the 2018 Focus RS. Thanks to that, the 2018 Focus lineup can offer up to 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The new Volkswagen Jetta lineup has no performance models to speak of, which mean it can offer up to only 210 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque.
But what about those fuel-sipping new Focus models we mentioned? Well, the 2018 Focus lineup can get up to 30 city MPG and 42 highway MPG, while the 2018 Jetta lineup can get up to only 28 city MPG and 40 highway MPG.
One of the main reasons people choose a hatchback over a sedan is because of the additional cargo space offered by hatchbacks. In fact, 2018 Focus Hatchback models offer 23.3 cubic-feet of cargo capacity, whereas 2018 Jetta sedans offer only 15.7 cubic-feet of cargo room.
