It’s our favorite time of the year here at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL. No, it’s not Christmas or any other holiday – though it might as well be, considering now is the time of the year that we get to start to learn about the latest and greatest new Ford F-150 lineup.
So what have we learned so far? Well, quite a bit actually, though we should warn you, much of what you’re going to hear is going to sound very familiar to the other times we’ve talked about a new Ford F-150 lineup. That’s because, like those that came before it, the 2021 Ford F-150 is set to be the most powerful, most productive, and most capable new F-150 ever – not to mention the most powerful, most productive, and most capable full-size pickup truck of the 2021 model year, as it boasts best-in-class power and best-in-class capability. But we say that every year, don’t we? Told you it would sound familiar. Doesn’t make it any less exciting, though, does it?
So, let’s get right down to it and check out those best-in-class power ratings and best-in-class capability ratings.
The 2021 Ford F-150 lineup boasts an impressive array of powertrain options. In fact, there are 6 powertrains to choose from – a 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque rated 3.3-liter V6 engine, a 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque rated 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, a 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque rated 5.0-liter V8 engine, a 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque rated 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, a 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque rated 3.0-liter diesel Power Stroke engine, and a 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque rated 3.5-liter V6 full hybrid PowerBoost engine.
With the best-in-class power taken care of, let’s look at the best-in-class capability of the 2021 F-150. With this amazing truck, you can tow up to 14,000 pounds and haul up to 3,325 pounds.
The 2021 Ford F-150 lineup also boasts a new body and frame – one that makes it the toughest and most rugged new Ford F-150 to hit our lot. More specifically, the 2021 Ford F-150 lineup boasts a fully boxed high-strength steel frame to go along with a military grade aluminum alloy body. It also features bumpers that wrap around the exterior, front fenders that are higher than before, a newly designed power dome hood, a midsection that’s more tucked in than before, and a set of tires that are not only larger in diameter but also pulled out to create a more powerful and capable stance.
