WHICH FORD VEHICLES ARE ELECTRIC?
Ford continues to expand its lineup with a wealth of current and future all-electric automotive options. The Ford F-150 Lighting is an all-electric pickup truck that will tow up to 10,000 pounds of cargo, go zero to 60 mph in under 4.0 seconds and will provide a 320-mile range. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an electric crossover built for speed with a powertrain capable of 480 horsepower and an available range of 314 miles. The Ford E-Transit is a versatile, all-electric work van available in Chassis Cab, Cutaway, Cargo and Passenger variants.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EVS AND HYBRIDS?
No - an Electric Vehicle (EV) is not the same as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid. EVs like the Ford F-150 Lightning rely solely on the power provided by an electric battery core and electric motors. Hybrid variants like the Ford F-150 Powerboost® combine the power of a gasoline engine and a smaller electric battery and motor to deliver more power and better fuel economy.

HOW LONG DO EVS LAST?
Modern technology has improved the longevity of EVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E to match many gas-powered counterparts - ensuring that you enjoy premium quality and reliable performance at every turn. Ford EVs are protected by an Electric Vehicle Component Coverage Warranty that will cover the battery and additional electric components for 8 years or 100,000 miles.

HOW DO I CHARGE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?
EVs need electric power to perform and that means recharging the battery and it is as simple as 1-2-3. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 chargers are all capable of providing the power you need.

Basic Level 1 (L1) charging uses a standard 120-volt wall outlet and a provided cord to charge your vehicle. Level 2 (L2) charging employs an installed 240-volt charging station in your home or in public that will shorten charge times. Level 3 (L3) charge stations are available in public with 480-volt Direct Current power. There are 196 Level 2 charging stations and 30 Level 3 charging stations in the Tampa area.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE MY FORD EV?
We know that sometimes you are in a rush and how long it takes to charge your all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E is a concern. How long it takes to charge your EV depends on the charger you use. Level 1 charge times range from 6 - 10 hours and are perfect overnight. Level 2 charge times range from 1 - 3 hours with a 240-volt power source. Level 3 charging stations can recharge your battery in as little as 30 minutes.

HOW FAR CAN MY FORD EV DRIVE?
The electric driving range of your vehicle will vary based on the model and powertrain that you choose when you make your purchase. EVs may use different size batteries or provide AWD and RWD powertrain options that will impact the driving range. For example - the Ford F-150 Lighting will drive an EPA-estimated 230 miles with the smaller standard-range battery and will travel up to 320 miles with the more powerful extended-range battery.

CAN I BUY A USED EV?
Yes. Tampa-area drivers who want to save on a fuel-efficient and eco-friendly vehicle may find just what the proverbial doctor ordered in the Brand Ford pre-owned inventory. Used cars, trucks and SUVs from your favorite brands are available at great prices and may be the perfect addition to your day-to-day commute.
