2017 Ford Escape New Safety and Storage Features

The Ford Escape received a wide array of significant updates for the 2017 model year, including two new EcoBoost engines, a slew of new connectivity and technology features and a comprehensive suite of advanced new driver assistance systems. It’s those new safety features that we’ll be focusing on today, as the 2017 Ford Escape is now one of the safest compact SUVs on the road. But what exactly is included in the 2017 Escape? 2017 Ford Escape New Driver-Assist Technology

The 2017 Ford Escape features a slew of advanced new driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, collision warning with brake support, enhanced active park assist, a lane-keeping system complete with lane-keeping assist and lane-keeping aid and the Ford Driver Alert System, which provides warnings on the instrument cluster if it detects signs of fatigued driving. Other driver assistance features include a hands-free liftgate and the SYNC 3 system complete with SYNC Connect, which allows you to use the FordPass smartphone app to start, lock, unlock and locate your 2017 Escape. The new Ford Escape also includes the Auto Start-Stop features which shuts off the engine during common stops to save gas and eliminate tailpipe emissions. The engine then restarts automatically when the brake pedal is released.

2017 Ford Escape New Storage Features

Along with the new safety and driver assistance features, the 2017 Ford Escape also includes a number of convenient and easy-to-use storage features. These include improved cup holders, two new storage bins, a larger center armrest and a new swing-bin glove box that provides easier access than ever before. The 2017 Escape also features a brand new electronic parking brake, which replaces the large hand-actuated parking brake. This means there’s more room than ever. And that means you’re going to be more comfortable in the new Ford Escape than in any other previous model.
