As we mentioned, the 2018 Ford Expedition features an all-new, class exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist system that makes towing easier than ever before. But, how exactly does it work? Well, put simply, the system makes backing up a trailer as easy as turning a knob. That’s because the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system allows you to steer your trailer by turning a control knob while your new Expedition takes care of steering the wheel and limiting speed. See, you rotate the control knob however much you want the trailer to turn, with the system then steering your 2018 Expedition to turn the desired amount. It’s as easy as that.
You’ll be putting the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system to good use, too, seeing as the new Ford Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds, which is the most of any full-size SUV. That means boats, moving trailers and anything else will be no match for the 2018 Ford Expedition.
