The 2018 Ford Edge lineup is well known as one of the safest SUV lineups around, but the 2019 Ford Edge ST – and the rest of the 2019 Ford Edge lineup, for that matter – is going to up the safety ante even more. That’s because the all-new Ford Edge ST – and, again, the rest of the 2019 Edge lineup – features a slew of segment-first safety and driver assistance systems. This list includes a post collision braking system, an evasive steering system and an adaptive cruise control system that itself features stop-and-go and lane centering capabilities. The new Ford Edge ST at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL, also features well known safety standards such as a full complement of airbags, rain-sensing wipers, a rear view camera, front and rear ultrasonic sensors, a 180-degree front camera and an enhanced active park assist system.
