Though, with all due respect to Mr. McQueen and his on-screen greatness, we’d say the real star of the movie is the 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback he cruises around San Francisco in during the most amazing and iconic car chase ever filmed. And now, thanks to the unveiling of the all-new limited-edition Ford Mustang Bullitt, we can all relive that glory ourselves. With that in mind, we decided now is the perfect time to check out the engine and performance features of the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt.

If you thought the 2018 Ford Mustang was powerful, just wait until you hear about what’s under the hood of the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. That’s because the limited-edition 50th Anniversary Ford Mustang Bullitt features an upgraded and enhanced 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out 475 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. This incredible power will let you top out at 163 miles per hour while cruising around in your all-new 2019 Mustang Bullitt. The 50th Anniversary Mustang Bullitt also features a manual transmission controlled by a gear shifter that itself features a white cue ball shift knob – which lovers of the movie will instantly recognize. Additional performance features include an active valve performance exhaust system, Black NitroPlate™ exhaust tips, a new Open Air Induction System and the Shelby GT350 intake manifold which itself features 87mm throttle bodies and powertrain control module calibration.
