We now know the official horsepower and torque ratings for the recently-arrived 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup and, as a surprise to absolutely no one who knows anything about heavy-duty trucks, the new Ford Super Duty lineup at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL, features best-in-class power ratings across the board. That’s right, if you get a new Ford Super Duty at Brandon Ford, you’re getting best-in-class horsepower and best-in-class torque. So, with that in mind, let’s find out what the specific best-in-class power ratings are for the 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup.
In addition to the Power Stroke diesel engine we’ll get to in a minute, the 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup offers you the choice between two gasoline engines, both of which are V8 engine options. One engine is a 7.3-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out a best-in-class gasoline horsepower rating of 430 and a best-in-class gasoline torque rating of 475 pound-feet. The other available gasoline engine for the 2021 Super Duty lineup is a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out a horsepower rating of 385 and a torque rating of 430 pound-feet.
The diesel engine option for the 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 diesel engine capable of pumping out a best-in-class diesel horsepower rating of 475 and a best-in-class diesel torque rating of 1,050 pound-feet. And, yes, that’s a four-figure torque rating! And that’s something only Ford trucks can do.
