Are you looking for a large family SUV? The Ford Expedition has been a fan favorite for a long time and many families cannot wait to see what the future holds for the popular SUV. The highly-anticipated debut of the 2025 Ford Expedition has many potential owners chomping at the bit to get behind the wheel and experience the brand-new design when it arrives at dealerships in Spring 2025. Order banks for the 2025 Ford Expedition will open on October 24. Brandon Ford is here to help keep you informed about the new addition to the Ford lineup with this breakdown of the 2025 Ford Expedition U.S. release date and design specs.
The 2025 Ford Expedition will feature a brand-new design and next-generation technology that will cater to families on the go when it arrives in Spring 2025. Available in standard 122.5-inch and extended 131.5-inch MAX wheelbase variants, the Ford Expedition provides room for up to eight passengers with a second-row bench seat that can be upgraded to second-row Captain’s Chairs. When it arrives, the 2025 Ford Expedition will be available in four trim levels — Active, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum.
Brand-new Ford Expedition models will feature an upgraded style with a more aggressive front end that adds winged LED Daytime Running Lights and an illuminated light bar. A major change to the 2025 Ford Expedition design is the addition of the class-exclusive Ford Split Gate that adds a traditional SUV tailgate to the spec sheet to make it easier to load cargo and provide stadium seating — perfect for camping and tailgating. The Ford Split Gate will support up to 500 pounds of cargo. Families that love weekend camping and off-road adventures will love the aggressive style and capable design of the brand-new Ford Expedition Tremor.
When you get behind the wheel of a large SUV, it is important to have real power under the hood and the 2025 Ford Expedition will fit the bill. Ford Expedition Active, King Ranch, and Platinum models are powered by a 400-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V-6 engine that produces 480 pound-feet of torque married to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The capable Ford Expedition Tremor employs a 440-horsepower High-Output 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V-6 that manufactures 510 pound-feet of torque. When equipped for towing, standard Ford Expedition models will tow 7,000 pounds of cargo that can be upgraded to 9,600 pounds with a weight-distributing hitch.
Do you love to hit the trail on weekend hunting trips? Are you looking for a more off-road capable SUV? The 2025 Ford Expedition is a welcome addition to the lineup that delivers a best-in-class 10.6 inches of ground clearance with 33-inch General Grabber A/T tires. Additional features that upgrade style and capability include an off-road suspension system, Electric Power-Assisted Steering, running boards, a front skid plate, integrated off-road auxiliary LED grille lights, Rock Crawl Mode, Trail Turn Assist, and Trail 1-Pedal technology.
Technology promises to be a highlight of the 2025 Ford Expedition when it arrives at Brandon Ford. The Ford Digital Experience takes center stage in the Ford Expedition with an unprecedented 24-inch panoramic display that replaces the traditional gauge cluster and a 13.2-inch Ford SYNC® touchscreen infotainment system that provides one-touch access to Google Play Apps, Google Maps, onboard Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more. In addition to the revolutionary Ford Digital Experience, the 2025 Ford Expedition will add Ford BlueCruise hands-free driving technology to the standard equipment list in all trim levels.
