It’s happened to all of us at some point during our travels – we’re a few hours into a road trip and our rear end starts to not feel so great anymore. Some call it the road trip butt blues. Others call it the road trip derriere danger. But at Ford, they call it a problem solved thanks to the all-new seats in the new Ford Explorer lineup at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL. Now, the 2020 Explorer is a lot of things to a lot of different people, but most – if not all – who drive a new Explorer take it on regular road trips. Or, at least, a lot of longer drives. That’s why Ford updated and improved the seats in the 2020 Explorer. So, just how comfortable is the 2020 Ford Explorer at Brandon Ford? Well, let’s head inside this impressive new SUV and find out.

Ford’s Dr. Derriere is actually Supervisor Mike Kolich, who works with the Ford global seating and comfort team – a team whose sole purpose is to make sure everything from daily commutes to cross-country road trips are as comfortable as possible. And that’s a goal they’ve succeeded at achieving with the 2020 Ford Explorer and its all-new seats. Not only are the 2020 Explorer’s new front seats more comfortable than ever before, they also free up space in the second row to make passengers back there even more comfortable. Simply put, it’s a win-win for anyone in your new 2020 Explorer.
“Road trips can be largely defined by how comfortable people are – and when you get down to it, how comfortable our seats allow them to be. As engineers, we’re thrilled with this new seat, but really it’s what our customers say and think that matters.”
