Published on Jun 26, 2023 by Brandon Ford

The 2023 Ford Super Duty® is built for hard work on the jobsite - but that doesn’t mean that drivers do not have access to high-tech features. The latest edition of the Ford Super Duty® employs advanced smart features to make towing and hard work simpler for drivers in need. Drivers interested in a heavy-duty pickup truck want to know - what are the 2023 Ford Super Duty® tech features - and we have got you covered at Brandon Ford in Tampa, FL.

Guide to 2023 Ford Super Duty® Driver-Assist Technology

Next-level technology is a highlight of the latest 2023 Ford Super Duty® and the updated list of driver-assist features will help make hard work easier. New tech features employed by the Ford Super Duty® include a Head-Up Display inspired by military fighter jets, available Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and a Ford Pro™ Upfit Integration System.

  • Brand-New Head-Up Display - A virtual Head-Up Display is a welcome addition to the Ford Super Duty® spec sheet that is inspired by modern fighter aircraft. The brand-new Head-Up Display projects important driving and towing information on the lower part of the windshield, so you never have to take your eyes off the road.
  • Pro Trailer Hitch Assist - A high-tech system developed by the Ford Team, the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature employs machine learning and onboard computer systems to identify the trailer hitch and align your conventional hitch ball at the touch of a button - the perfect feature if you are uncomfortable hooking up your trailer. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist will control speed, steering and braking.
  • Pro Trailer Navigation - Do you struggle towing your trailer in tight spaces? Pro Trailer Navigation employs the onboard navigation system calibrated with trailer dimensions and weights to help you avoid tight streets, tight turns and low bridges on your planned route.
  • Trail Turn Assist - Does your campground or campsite have tight turns? Do you have trouble making the turns with your trailer? Ford Trail Turn Assist will lock either of the rear wheels to minimize the turn radius to 180 degrees and make it easier to navigate tight turns.
  • BLIS® for 5th-Wheel Trailers - When you tow a trailer, it is always a challenge to see vehicles in your blind spots - even more so with a larger 5th-wheel trailer. Ford BLIS® for 5th-Wheel Trailers provides an attachment for your trailer that will monitor blind spots next to the trailer and provide visual indicators on your side mirrors.
  • Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch -  It can be dangerous to tow a trailer that is too heavy for your pickup truck - but the 2023 Ford Super Duty® can help with the addition of Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch. This driver-assist system estimates a real-time payload and trailer tongue weight that are displayed on the touchscreen display.

What Is the Ford Pro™ Upfit Integration System?

The Ford Pro™ Upfit Integration System is a brand-new addition to the Ford Super Duty® technology lineup. If you are a business owner who uses a plow or utility crane on your Ford Super Duty®, the innovative Ford Pro™ Upfit Integration System gives aftermarket equipment manufacturers better access to your truck’s electrical system to make it easier to integrate aftermarket equipment. The system also allows aftermarket manufacturers to add digital buttons for equipment to the Ford SYNC® 4 touchscreen display.
