The all-new 2022 Ford Explorer has a 2.3 L EcoBoost® engine that produces up to 300 HP that comes as the standard engine. The higher trims like the King Ranch®, Platinum, and ST models are powered by a heavy-duty twin-turbocharged 3.0 L V6 EcoBoost® engine that produces 400 HP. Ford had introduced the Hybrid engine for the Ford Explorer models in 2020. The 2022 Ford Explorer also has an available hybrid package that is being powered by a 3.3 L V6 hybrid engine that produces around 313 HP.
All the available engine has a 10-Speed Automatic Transmission as standard. The 2022 Ford Explorer comes with Rear Wheel Drive as standard unless opted for an available All Wheel Drive.
